Membership provides:

Join the AAEGT to become part of a community of members: parents, teachers, researchers and others, as we strive to raise the profile of the needs of gifted children in Australia. Gifted children and their families come from every nationality and every walk of life.

The AAEGT vision is for all gifted students across the nation to be recognised and have their learning and social emotional development needs met through appropriate educational provision. 

As a member of our community, you have the opportunity to: 

• keep up to date with research on gifted education; 
• attend seminars and conferences; 
• hear about what is happening in other states and territories with respect to gifted education; 
• connect with a team of people advocating for gifted education in Australia; and 
• be connected to the only national gifted education association in Australia advancing the needs of gifted learners.

We welcome a diversity of members, including those who don’t want to take an active part in our organisation. Your membership helps to increase the volume of our national ‘voice’ and means that you become part of a movement for change and advocacy.

Becoming a member ensures you have exclusive access to resources, product and event discounts, regular newsletters and can access the journal at a discounted rate.

Membership models

In most states and the ACT you may join the AAEGT when you become a member of a state/territory organisation. In Queensland and the Northern Territory you may join the AAEGT directly. Click the relevant link below to proceed.
